The Dublin study tour follows the London Conference.
Attendees who choose to participate in the Dublin retail study tour will depart for Dublin on Friday. There, they will experience this innovative and exciting convenience retail market beginning mid-day Friday and continuing on Saturday morning.
As it is considered to be the most highly developed market in the world for convenience, our groups will find the Dublin store visits very exciting. Many of the new sites we will visit are taking convenience to a whole new level, successfully championing trends towards healthy, high quality fresh food and foodservice on the move. Visits will include brand new Applegreen, Topaz, Maxol, SPAR, Avoca and Musgrave Centra and many other formats and will include the 2015 NACS Insight International Convenience Retailer of the Year, Topaz Re.Store.
Topaz’s mould-breaking, brand new Cantina concept, trailed on the video below, will certainly provide one highlight. Globally, there are major opportunities for convenience retailers to move from ‘fast food’ into ‘fast casual’. Dublin provides us with a live example of convenience retail innovating to close the gap between what modern shoppers want from a convenience retail and foodservice experience and what they feel they’re currently getting.
